World Finals here we come! Dozens of students from six Orange County schools have earned their spot to compete in the 37th Annual Odyssey of the Mind World Finals in Iowa later this month. Over 800 teams from around the world will be competing May 25-28, 2016 at Iowa State University. Students from Princeton and Thornebrooke elementary schools as well as Lee, Howard, and Apopka middle schools and Winter Park High School have qualified for the World Finals after working extremely hard through regional and state competitions. Odyssey of the Mind is an international educational program that provides creative problem-solving opportunities for students from kindergarten through college. Team members apply their creativity to solve problems that range from building mechanical devices to presenting their own interpretation of literary classics. They then bring their solutions to competition on the local, state and World level.
