More than 2,500 OCPS high school juniors attended the district’s fifth annual College and University Expo at the Amway Center.

With more than 85 college and university representatives present, students had the opportunity to visit and discuss the institution’s course offerings, scholarship availability, financial aid and admissions process.

Representatives from all major Florida colleges and universities, as well as institutions like Baylor University, The Ohio State University, University of Massachusetts and the U.S. Military Academy at West Point were onsite.

“I think it was a good event because it helped introduce me to a variety of colleges that I didn’t even know were around,” Joseph Brutus, Wekiva High School junior, said. “I would recommend this to other students to help them find different colleges.

Student Services plans, organizes and executes the event to provide juniors an opportunity to explore their post-secondary options.
