Seeking to gain insight into the United States’ education system, 32 students and five chaperones from the Royal Concorde International School in India spent part of a school day at Boone HS.

The visitors began their day with a Meet and Greet in the Media Center. They enjoyed light refreshments, including smoothies from Planet Smoothie, a Partner in Education, and presented Principal Dusty Johns with an elephant statue as a keepsake of their visit.

The schools worked together to plan a morning filled with activities that allowed students from both schools the opportunity to speak with and learn from each other. Members of Boone’s Student Government Association served as tour guides and hosted small groups through six classroom observations which included a mix of core content area classes and electives of high-interest.

The RCIS students were impressed with the size of the campus, the breadth of opportunities available at the American high school, and were especially fascinated with the Chief Justice Charles T. Wells Courtroom and the photography lab.

The RCIS delegate was appreciative to have the morning of cultural immersion.
