ISOLATION
Isolation is for sick people and people who test positive for COVID-19. You can be COVID positive, asymptomatic (not feel sick) and still require isolation. You are contagious.
It means staying away from others until:
- At least 10 days have passed since symptoms started or the date of your positive test, if you have symptoms and
- At least no fever for 24 hours (without medicine that lowers fevers) and
- Other symptoms are getting better
QUARANTINE
Quarantine is for people who have been around someone who has symptoms or has tested positive for COVID-19. It means staying away from others for 14 days. If you get the virus, quarantine keeps you from spreading it to others. During quarantine, if you get sick or have a positive COVID-19 test, you should isolate for 10 days from your first symptom or from the day of your positive test result, if you have symptoms.
