Orange County School Board held a Rule Development Workshop to review the tobacco policy.
Policy ADC – Tobacco Free Schools
Revised policy to include legislative updates, content, formatting and terminology to align with statutory language.
Changes include, and are not limited to, details regarding electronic smoking devices and vaping, as well as the removal of designated smoking areas on any School Board property.
Next steps: All proposed changes will move to a formal public meeting for discussion and vote Oct. 27, 2020.
