A teacher talks to a student about her art portfolio

The Orlando Museum of Art hosted Portfolio Day for Advanced Placement Art Portfolio students to receive feedback on their work.

The High School Portfolio workshop is a two part series. Portfolio 101, offered in the fall, helps students learn the basics of developing a cohesive portfolio from a panel of college art educators and advisors.

In April, the student artists participate in Portfolio Review to receive individual feedback from a jury of AP reviewers, art institutions, art professionals and art experts from the community. The partnerships with the talented professionals are invaluable for the young artists. Students take the reviewers’ feedback to revise and refine their portfolios before submitting to the College Board at the beginning of May. They will receive their scores mid-July.
