The School Board of Orange County held its regularly-scheduled board meeting at 5 p.m. at the Ronald Blocker Educational Leadership Center. These are the highlights of the meeting:
 
Strategic Plan Update
School Board members received an update on the district’s Reimagining Our Schools. The reimagining efforts align with the district’s 2025 Strategic Plan Vision, Mission, Values, and Objectives providing students innovative pathways to a promising and successful future.

School Board proclaims Jan. 23 – 27 as Celebrate Literacy Week, Florida!
The Florida Department of Education, Orange County Public Schools and numerous organizations and agencies planned a “Celebrate Literacy Week, Florida!” Jan. 23-27, 2023. This observance showcases the district’s commitment to promoting literacy and the enjoyment of reading throughout the district to ensure students can read challenging material and use printed and digital matter to solve problems independently.
