Orange County School Board held a Rule Development Workshop to review potential rezoning options for relief schools scheduled to open for the 2020-2021 school year.
The schools include:
43-E-SE-2 (relief for Eagle Creek Elementary and Laureate Elementary)
80-H-SW-4 (relief for Dr. Phillips High School and Freedom High School)
113-H-W-4 (relief for West Orange High School and Windermere High School)
65-M-W-4 (relief of Bridgewater Middle School)
During the workshop, the school board determined that the following options would be advertised for a public hearing and vote:
43-E-SE-2 Option 1
80-H-SW-4 Option 1
113-H-W-4 Option 2
65-M-W-4 Option 1
113-H-W-4 (Options 2) and 65-M-W-4 (Option 1) would share a building thru the 2022-2023 school year.
Next steps: All proposed changes will move to a formal public meeting for discussion and vote on Oct. 13, 2020.
