OCPS World Languages Progression Charts

To assist you in planning the best World Language path for your child, we would like to provide you with important information regarding graduation requirements and academic opportunities available at OCPS.

The World Language Progression Charts outline the suggested progression of World Language courses. They also provide detailed information about how middle school World Language coursework relates to high school credit. See the progression chart for Spanish speakers.

The High School Curriculum Guide explains the courses necessary to fulfill graduation requirements. Because some schools offer specialized courses or programs, portions of The High School Curriculum Guide may vary from school to school. After clicking on the link, please select your child’s school to learn about the specific graduation requirements and available programs.

OCPS is proud to offer students who complete additional World Language courses an opportunity to earn The Florida Seal of Biliteracy. Upon successful completion of all of the program requirements, students receive an insignia of distinction on their diplomas and on their transcripts at graduation. To learn more about the requirements for this program, please click on The Seal of Biliteracy Tab on the left-hand side of the page.
