Standardized testing includes the Florida Comprehensive Achievement Test (FCAT) for third, fourth and fifth grade students. This test is usually administered in late February and early March. The FCAT tests Reading, Mathematics, Writing (4th grade only) and Science (5th grade only).

Students can prepare for the FCAT by using FCAT Explorer (  This online program offers students fun, effective practice on skills outlined in the Sunshine State Standards and tested on the Florida Comprehensive Assessment Test (FCAT).  Students can get log in information from their teachers.  Parents can also check out the Parent/Family Guide section.

Students in grades kindergarten through fifth grade are individually assessed using the Diagnostic Indicators of Basic Early Literacy Skills (DIBELS). This test measures students’ abilities in pre-reading and oral reading skills and is administered three times a year.

Students in grades three through five are assessed three times a year using EduSoft Benchmark testing.  This test assesses on going student achievement in Math and Reading.
