Engelwood BB court.jpg

Engelwood Elementary School was thrilled and honored to have their basketball court refurbished.  This special event was sponsored by The Orlando Magic and Chase Bank.  On Friday, March 6, a group of our 5th grade students were invited to attend the Orlando Magic game. The students, Principal Reyes, and Coach Smith were asked to go down to the court during half time where they were awarded a $2,000 check for the purchase of  sports equipment for the school. On Saturday, March 7, 2015, Engelwood Elementary School held a  basketball Court Refurbishment Ribbon Cutting Ceremony hosted by the Orlando Magic and Chase Bank. Orlando Magic player Tobias Harris, and former players Nick Anderson and Bo Outlaw, were on site for the celebration.  They held a basketball clinic for the students who participated in the event. There were games, food and bounce houses for the students to enjoy.
