Florida Teen Reads

2015_2016

If there was a magic potion that you could take to make you smarter, give you a better vocabulary, improve your concentration, focus, memory, self esteem, and creativity, would you take it? Surprisingly, there is such a way to achieve all of these things and it is available to everybody. It is called reading.  Please read the suggested reading list for enjoyment this summer. Please choose books that you will enjoy so that you can find that love of reading that we all talk about.

Stop by the library to give us suggestions of books to buy for you and other students. We want to purchase books that YOU want to read! Check destiny.ocps.net to determine if we already have the book you need. Login using your OCPS login and password to find out what books you have checked out, to write reviews and to connect with other students.
Stop by the library to research for projects and papers. Your library staff is hereto help you so DO ask questions. If we do not have the information that you need, we will help you find it. You can print your notes or save them to your folder.
Stop by the library to visit the Beans, Brains and Books Café. Bring a paperback book to exchange for another while you are having a Smoothie! (maybe a picture of a coffee?)
Stop by the library to check out and return textbooks. You will come in at the beginning of the year with your math teacher to check out all of your textbooks.
Stop by the library to get an ID card. Remember: Your first ID is free, but if you lose it, it costs $5.00 to replace it.

Stop by the library for information on what is going on throughout the school. We are your information place!
