Hello Wildcat Parents,
My name is Stacey Rodrigues and I am honored to be serving as the WPHS PTSA President for the 2016-2017 school year. For those new to Winter Park HS, the PTSA (Parent, Teacher, and Student Association) is a group of parents & students working together with the teachers and staff to make WPHS the best experience for our students that it can be.
New this year is the WPHS PTSA Student committee. This committee will keep us compliant with our bylaws and is a great opportunity for any and all students to be involved with. Similar to the SGA (Student Government Assoc.), PTSA students will participate with school events, community service projects, and work with administration & staff on issues that impact the students at local, county and state levels. Some of our past Wildcat PTSA students have served on the Orange County PTA, Florida PTA and National PTA.
During the summer the PTSA Executive Board was busy preparing for the upcoming school year and our first focus was our membership drive. WPHS PTSA membership offers many different levels and is our ONLY fundraiser for the year. PTSA members will receive weekly newsletters keeping parents informed in every facet of WPHS, updates via our PTSA Facebook page, scholarships for our student members, and more.
We currently are in need of Volunteers to assist with our many events. Volunteering is a great way to meet other parents, teachers. and staff so should you be interested please let us know.
