Community Service is completed to help a non-profit organization.  Some acceptable ideas are below.  If you are not sure if the activity is acceptable for Community Service Hours, please contact your Guidance Counselor for assistance.

  3.  as a coach
  4.  assisting a teacher
  5.  at a food panty (Second Harvest – Loaves and   Fishes)
  6.  at Freedom Ride
  7.  with handicap children
  8.  be a Best Buddy
  9.  join Interact
  10. environmental clean up activities
  11. Orange County Public Library (contact your local branch)
  12. Walk a thon for various health issues
  13. Camp Thunderbird
  14. mentor a younger student (must be an organized   activity though a school or organization)
  15. Florida Hospital
  16. summer camps for children (ex: UF environmental Horticulture Science Camp)
  17. with Apopka Pop Warner

  19. Orange County Humane Society
  20. Habitat for Humanity – There is an office in Apopka
  21. Hope Community Center in Apopka on Park Avenue
