AED.jpgAccreditation through AdvancED is a performance-based process that asks school systems to assess their current reality, implement an improvement plan, monitor progress and evaluate their results. The process is a proven, clear and powerful protocol for school and school system improvement that provides a more comprehensive analysis to drive continuous improvement and inform needed action to improve student learning. School system accreditation depends on how well all parts of the education system – the school system, schools and classrooms – work together to meet the needs of students. The result is the system itself along with all its schools moving in one direction together.

Orange County Public Schools pursued district accreditation to (1) receive a global designation of quality that can benefit students transferring to schools and universities around the world, (2) receive access to a portfolio of services such as aligned surveys to improve the collection and use of stakeholder feedback, and (3) receive additional diagnostic reviews of programs and services that help ensure continuous improvement for the district.

District accreditation assists OCPS in ensuring that its students are recognized for their high performance, that additional services are provided to accurately collect stakeholder feedback and that the district is engaged in a continuous improvement process.

Part of the continuous improvement process involves parents and guardians of our students.  Please take a few minutes to complete this survey to ensure that your input is heard and continues to catapult our students to the top.
