Breakfast served daily from 9:00 AM - 9:25 AM

Cafeteria/Food Service Procedures

Upon entering the cafeteria have your student I.D. out and ready to present to the staff before entering the serving line.
If you do not have or forgot your I.D. you will be directed by the administrator on duty when you may get in line.
Do not deface your I.D.- name, picture, I.D.#, and bar code must be readable by cashier.
There are four serving lines set up exactly the same.  The same food and same choices are offered on all lines.

Remember your I.D. or you will be last in line

To enter serving area and pick up your meal you must form a single file line and wait at the blue line for the turnstyle's green light.

As you go through the line make your selections:

  • One entree, two different sides and one milk counts as a complete meal
  • You may take additional items, but be prepared to pay additional costs for example:
    • extra side - 75¢
    • extra milk - 50¢
    • extra entree - $2.25
    • slice of pizza - $2.50
  • If you choose two sides that are exactly the same you will be charged for an extra side of 75¢ even if you only have two sides

After you have made your meal selections, present your I.D. and payment to the cashier.

When you reach the cashier

  1. Scan your I.D.
  2. Verify name on account
  3. Ask cashier for any à la carte items desired
  4. Present payment - check, cash or money on account

You must pay for all items at the time of purchase.  There is a NO CHARGE policy for all secondary schools.  No credit will be extended.
You can deposit money (online with mylunchmoney.com or with a cashier) to your account as a prepayment and use your student I.D. to access the account.
If you've forgotten your lunch and/or money for the day an alternative meal is available from the cashier.  Just get in line as normal and inform the cashier of your situation - they will provide you with a sandwich and choice of milk.

Commonly Asked Questions

My child has a certain food allergy; how can I ensure he/she does not have an allergic reaction?

Notify the cafeteria manager in writing of any allergies.  The manager will review the menu and inform you of items that may be potentially harmful.  We will do our best to provide a meal that is safe for the student to consume.

How can I find out what my child is buying for lunch?

MyLunchMoney.com offers a report for the current week's purchases, or, simply contact the food service manager and request an account history for your child.  A printed journal detailing all of your child's transactions will be provided.

I need a refund for money on my child's account; how can I get the money?

Refunds may be requested by contacting the manager in writing or in person during non-serving hours (9:30 AM to 11:00 AM) (2:15 PM to 3:00 PM).

What happens to money left on my child's account at the end of the year?

Money remaining on your child's account at the end of the year will be transferred over to the next year. Even if you change schools as long as you stay enrolled in an Orange County Public School the money will "follow" the student.

My child is already out of money; how did this happen?

Review account history (current week's purchases is available on MyLunchMoney.com) with your child and the selections they are making.  There are many à la carte menu choices which can add up quickly if a student does not make wise decisions.
If necessary, spending limits and restrictions can be set on the student's account through MyLunchMoney.com.  Contact the food service manager with any questions or assistance needed to make this arrangement.

How will I know when my child needs more money for lunch?

Monitor account on MyLunchMoney.com
Communicate with your child the need to follow a budget and ask the cashier for their balance.
Cashiers will try to warn students when their account is low but do not rely solely on the cashier.  Students go through the line very quickly and sometimes a student leaves before we can communicate the low balance with them.  Recurring payments can be set up with MyLunchMoney.com so when the account reaches a certain balance (you select the amount), it will automatically deposit money into the student's account.
