Lunch Information

Being a "Wellness" school, Gotha students expected to eat a healthy, nutritious lunch before indulging in foods such as cookies and chips. Once again, there will be a variety of foods available for purchase. Traditional lunches are offered as are combo meals. Gotha also provides students with a snack bar area where items may be purchased a la carte.

 

Please be aware that change will no longer be given back for money paid at lunch. Any extra money received from a student will be placed into their account. This policy will help greatly in getting the students through the lunch lines much more efficiently. Funds can also be put into your child's account in advance by check, payable to Gotha Middle School.

 

Just like your food bill at home, the cost of purchasing and preparing food at school has increased over the past few years. Although the cost of all individual items can vary, we do have information on traditional and combo meals. The cost of the traditional lunch is $2.00 and a super combo mean is $2.50. The snack bar will cost students more, since items are sold separately. (Plan on as much as $5.00.)

 

Students who were on free or reduced lunches last year will be automatically included on the same program for their first ten days of attendance this year. This will allow time to process the necessary paperwork. IMPORTANT: New paperwork for free and reduced lunch must be completed each year. Be sure to return these forms to school within the first few days of the new school year if you are in need of this program.
