Partners in Education - A Dual Capacity-Building Framework for Family–School Partnerships, US Department  of Education


The OCPS Parent Academy is an educational opportunity designed to build capacity in parents by equipping them with the tools and strategies they need to support student achievement. There are three academies held throughout the year on Saturdays.

Engage 360: Learn Where You Live is personalized parent and family development based on the unique, locally identified needs of learning communities. Six of these evening, weekday sessions will be hosted throughout the year. 

Engage 360: Lunch and Learn is a weekday, on the go virtual learning opportunity. This opportunity allows for parents to attend a 45 minute live session during lunch. Four sessions will be held throughout the year with topics determined by the Parent Engagement District Advisory Council.

All Professional Learning Outreach events 
emphasis four strands:

  • Supporting Student Success: Student Achievement
  • Getting Involved: Leadership and Advocacy
  • Promoting Well-Being: Social Emotional Wellness/Health
  • Embracing Multiculturalism: Connecting diverse cultures to the school system
