How to Take Student Attendance
Streamlining the Process:
To get started quickly, please work with your school secretaries:
- PARF Distribution: Share the attached PARF Form with your secretaries.
- Staffing Reports: Have your secretaries complete a staffing report (ZH028) for each teacher participating in the program.
- Individual PARFs: Each designated teacher’s PARF should be submitted the school’s assigned Employment Coordinator with a copy to donamari.johnson@ocps.net.
Flexible Program Structure:
A&O recommends this program model. Consistent attendance is crucial, so teachers will track student participation in each session.
Key Requirements:
- Attendance Submission: Teachers must submit attendance records using the roster template to ensure accurate payment processing.
Time Breakdown:
- Teacher Time: Each participating teacher receives 3 hours per week dedicated to their assigned subject area. (This is applicable to either 4 High School teachers or 2 Middle School teachers.)
- Frontloading/Review: (2 hours/week, split into 1-hour sessions twice a week) This time focuses on reviewing key vocabulary and math skills to prepare students for upcoming lessons.
- Teacher Preparation: 1 hour is dedicated to developing effective lessons for the following courses:
- Middle School:
- 7th Accelerated
- Algebra 1
- High School:
- Geometry
- Algebra 2 Honors
- Precalculus Honors or AP Precalculus
