Middle and High School Math Acceleration

Middle and High School Math Acceleration

How to Take Student Attendance

Streamlining the Process:

To get started quickly, please work with your school secretaries:

  1. PARF Distribution: Share the attached PARF Form with your secretaries.
  2. Staffing Reports: Have your secretaries complete a staffing report (ZH028) for each teacher participating in the program.
  3. Individual PARFs: Each designated teacher’s PARF should be submitted the school’s assigned Employment Coordinator with a copy to donamari.johnson@ocps.net.

Flexible Program Structure:

A&O recommends this program model. Consistent attendance is crucial, so teachers will track student participation in each session.

Key Requirements:

  • Attendance Submission: Teachers must submit attendance records using the roster template to ensure accurate payment processing.

Time Breakdown:

  • Teacher Time: Each participating teacher receives 3 hours per week dedicated to their assigned subject area. (This is applicable to either 4 High School teachers or 2 Middle School teachers.)
  • Frontloading/Review: (2 hours/week, split into 1-hour sessions twice a week) This time focuses on reviewing key vocabulary and math skills to prepare students for upcoming lessons.
  • Teacher Preparation: 1 hour is dedicated to developing effective lessons for the following courses:
    • Middle School:
      • 7th Accelerated
      • Algebra 1
    • High School:
      • Geometry
      • Algebra 2 Honors
      • Precalculus Honors or AP Precalculus
