A virtual 2-part series for newcomer families, offered in 4 languages, introduces U.S. schools and provides take-home resources to support learning.
- Lunch & Learn Live Online
Live 30-min chats on OCPS Facebook feature key topics, real-time Q&A, and community dialogue—Wednesdays at noon, hosted by FACE.
- Evening Virtual Mini-Academies
Interactive 60–90 min webinars help parents learn key skills. Includes chat/polls. Advance registration required for community participation.
- Learn Where You Live:Parent Academy in Your School
Parent workshops on topics like literacy and resiliency use district kits with presentations, notes, and activities—delivered at your school site.

PK–2 bilingual read-alouds streamed live at 6 PM on select nights teach vocabulary and comprehension—interactive fun for families on Facebook.
