Benefits and Compensation FAQs

On Wednesday, Aug. 23, 2023, in order to provide teacher raises more quickly, the School Board declared impasse in the negotiations with CTA. This means the parties could not reach agreement on compensation and benefits.

The district proposed a historic one-year compensation and benefits package to the CTA members totaling approximately $103.5 million, which included a 9% salary increase. Click here for more information and to see details of the offer.
