Orange County Public Schools is continuously looking to do business with new firms. We are particularly interested in increasing the participation of certified minority- and woman-owned businesses (MWBEs), local developing businesses (LDBs) and veteran business enterprise (VBEs) in district contracts.
Our district has three (3) programs intended to economically support diverse, small businesses and veterans – an MWBE, an LDB and VBE program. Each program has associated district goals. OCPS accepts MWBE certification from the State of Florida, Orange County, the City of Orlando, the Florida State Minority Suppliers Development Council (FSMSDC), the National Minority Supplier Development Council (NMSDC) and the Women Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC). The district certifies LDBs and also accepts certification from the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority. The district accepts VBE certification from the State of Florida or the verification from the US Department of Veterans Affairs Center for Verification and Evaluation (CVE).
