Students at Colonial High School took the stage and spread out around the new, $17M Performing Arts Center for a special dedication performance. Cheerleaders welcomed visitors, the Air Force Junior ROTC presented the colors and students from chorus and the theatre program performed on stage. The marching band spread out throughout the 852-seat theatre to perform selections of songs by Queen in booming surround-sound. And School Board Member Johanna Lopez, who taught at Colonial High School, helped cut the ribbon for the long-awaited upgrade.
