Even if it is temporary, online learning may be new for your child! In some cases your child's teacher may provide assignments that are not due the same day. When students are at home due to a stay-at-home directive they should plan to check in on assignments and tasks for each class. ClassLink LaunchPad is the Single-Sign-On (SSO) portal for students. It provides one-click access to all of our applications without needing to remember a bunch of passwords. You are probably used to using in school face-to-face each day. LaunchPad can be used on a desktop or mobile devices. Check out one of these videos to learn how to use LaunchPad on your device.

All students have an electronic copy of their textbook and other instructional materials through apps on LaunchPad.

To easily locate the correct app for each class, students can click on the backpack icon to access "My Classes."

This will open up to the Dashboard which shows the student's classes and displays icons of the applications specifically assigned to each class.

Students can click on a class to bring up a more detailed view of all available apps for that class. They can click on an app to launch it. They are not able to add or delete apps.

Students can access their Canvas courses by clicking on the Canvas icon from LaunchPad, taking students to their Canvas Dashboard.

There are three Canvas Dashboard views you can choose from, card view, list view, and recent activity.Please note, you may not see all of these choices.

• Card View: Displays course cards for quick access to all your favorite courses.
• List View: Displays all course to-do items in an agenda view.
• Recent Activity: Shows you important recent activities from all of your courses including announcements, discussions, assignments, and conversations.

To access your Canvas course, click on it in Card View.

Teachers may ask students to submit an assignment when they are at home. When a student turns in an assignment in Canvas, their teacher can see what you have submitted even if they are not at school.

There are three ways to contact teachers.

1. Phone - Students can call their school and ask to speak with their teacher. Students may need to leave the teacher a message if they are in class, but they will call the student back when they are available.
2. Email - All teachers have an email address. It is normally their [email protected]. If a student emails a teacher, they should do so from their OCPS Gmail account.
3. Canvas Inbox - Students can send a message to their teacher from the Canvas Inbox. Select link to learn how how to send a message using the Canvas Inbox.
