CORE FUNCTIONS
Create a culture of safety through the reduction of health and safety risks.
- Apply proactive prevention-based measures to reduce the district's exposure to operational health and safety risks.
- Coordinate compliance, assessments and reporting activities related to health and safety codes, regulations and statutes.
- Administer the district's emergency life-saving measures program (i.e., AED, bleeding control and trauma training, etc.).
- Manage comprehensive pedestrian and traffic safety program (i.e., SafeWalk Program, Community Outreach, etc.).
- Engage internal stakeholders in developing cohesive and integrated strategic safety initiatives (i.e., Safety Council, Joint Safety Committee, Best Foot Forward, and Pedestrian Safety Committee, etc.).
- Collaborate with external partners and regulatory agencies on issues of mutual interests.
