Math Professional Development
The goal of the FSA Math Professional Development Initiative is to provide professional support to increase teacher effectiveness, build capacity, and preparedness in teaching mathematics at the elementary level. The focus is on effective instruction that increases students' conceptual understanding of mathematics beyond the rote memorization of the algorithms, while embedding culturally responsive instructional strategies to engage our diverse student population. Participating teachers will increase their students' rate of proficiency on the Math Florida Standards Assessment.
