COVID-19 Procedures for Parent Registration process and updating Information.

All registration takes place electronically due to COVID-19. Please contact your school with any questions, email link below. 

Updating information 

  • Please ensure your current address, email, and phone number are updated with the school. 

Registration process 

  1. Students who moved from an OCPS school to an OCPS school
    • Remain in current school until further notice; contact your current school to update contact information. 
    • Registrars will work with parents via phone or web conference to complete registration and enroll students.
  2. Students transferring from outside of OCPS (from other states or counties)
    • Registration takes place electronically via email
      • Steps to follow below
        1. Find my school – enter your address to find your zoned school. https://www.ocps.net/departments/student_enrollment/find_my_school
        2. Parent/guardian will complete the registration packet and provide normal documentation  (save blank registration packet to your computer, open saved document, fill in blanks, and save completed registration packet to attach to email.)      https://www.ocps.net/departments/student_enrollment/new_student_registration
        3. Families will save, scan, and/or take pictures of the documents and attach to an email to send to the appropriate school.  Each school has a general email.

        4. Documents also needed to send to school general email address-
          1. vaccination record and proof of physical
            1. Students without the FL Form 680 (record of vaccinations) and proof of physical may be registered for Distance Education, but WILL NOT be allowed on campus (after re-opening) until Registrar has received appropriate documentation.
          2. academic history (last report card)
          3. Special Education info (IEP, 504, etc.)
  • Required Documents – scan or take pictures with phone and email to school also
    • Government picture ID for registering parent (Driver’s license, passport, etc)
    • birth certificate
    • verification of guardianship (if needed) (See below if needed from Student Enrollment)
    • verification of residence (See below if needed from Student Enrollment)
      1. Proof of homeownership
      2. Current lease
      3. Verification of Residence----must provide something with their name at the address
  • Registrars will work with parents via phone or web conference to complete registration and enroll students.

Children must be five years old on or before September 1 to start kindergarten. To enter first grade, a child must be six years old on or before September 1 and must have successfully completed kindergarten (Florida Statute 1003.21).

All visits to Student Enrollment are by appointment only.
