Administrative positions at OCPS are professional positions that include executive, instructional and non-instructional leaders. These positions are those with district-level administrative or policy-making duties, generally have broad authority for management policies and general school district operations related to the instructional and non-instructional program. Such personnel often report directly to the Superintendent or to the executive cabinet, and typically supervise other professional employees.
Other professional positions at OCPS include those that deal with technology (engineers, analysts, etc.), occupational and physical therapists, staff attorneys, accountants, managers and supervisors, program specialists, and others.

Non-instructional (Classified) Guidelines
The wage schedule for all non-instructional (Classified) employees shall be as set forth in Appendix A-3 of the Contract between The School Board of Orange County, Florida And The Orange Education Support Professionals Association. The Classified salary schedule can be viewed here.
New employees shall normally be hired at the pay grade minimum. For new employees with related applicable experience, the following will apply:

Employees in benefited non-instructional classified position may be granted salary credit for full-time work experience related to the candidate’s new position with Orange County Public Schools. It is the responsibility of the employee to provide, on forms furnished by the district, complete verification of all work experience earned outside of Orange County Public Schools.

Supplements are additional salary for which an employee performs extra duties and/or responsibilities before, during or after the regular workday. They are designed in such a way as to allow individual schools flexibility in matching its employees’ resources to the needs of the student body, be it in the area of extracurricular activities, athletics, monitoring type duties, or representing the school.
There are four general categories for supplements: Athletics, Extracurricular, Co-curricular, and Academic Support.

Non-instructional (classified) employees who have retired and become reemployed will be compensated similarly to new hires, as per the Contract between The School Board of Orange County, Florida And The Orange Education Support Professionals Association. Instructional employees who have retired and become reemployed will either return to their previous salary or be placed on the new teacher's entry placement schedule, whichever is higher. The instructional placement salary calculator can be viewed here.

Who is a Retiree?
A former member of one of the retirement systems established by chapters 121, 122, 123, 238, and 321, F.S., who has terminated their employment and is receiving benefits from the system in which they were members. This term also includes a person who retired and is receiving benefits under s. 112.05, F.S., and a DROP participant who has not terminated their employment. A terminated Investment Plan member who has taken a distribution of any kind (e.g., lump sum, rollover, annuity, etc.) from their Investment Plan account is considered retired. A retired member who is rehired in an FRS-covered position prior to July 1, 2020, is considered a "reemployed retiree" and is subject to the rules and laws governing such members.
