Verification of Residence

Proof of Residence

You'll show where you live as part of your child's enrollment. Most families upload these documents right in the online application, by photo or file. 

If you own your home: 

Current Homestead Exemption card, property tax statement, closing contract, or warranty deed, plus a current utility bill, photo ID with your current address, and recent mail (three pieces total within last 30 days). 

If you rent or lease: 

Current signed lease, photo ID with your current address, a current utility bill, recent rent payments, current mail (three pieces total within the last 30 days), and renters insurance (if required in the lease). 

If you live with someone who owns or rents the home: 

You'll need a notarized Verification of Residence (VOR) from the Office of Student Enrollment. Once you have it, upload it with your application like any other document. First-time OCPS families also upload the child's birth certificate.

Getting a Verification of Residence (VOR) 

If you share housing with the owner or renter, the Office of Student Enrollment issues a notarized VOR. Here's what to bring or upload. 

The owner/renter provides: a driver's license or ID with the current address, plus at least one document from Group A. 

The registering parent provides: a Florida driver's license or ID with the current address, plus at least three documents from Group B. 

All documents must be current (mail within the last 30 days), valid, and show the residential address used for enrollment. Additional proof may be requested, such as evidence you've moved on from a previous address.

    • Signed Current Lease Agreement

    • Current Utility Bill (i.e., Electric, Water, Waste)
    • Current Telephone or Cell Phone Bill

    • Current Automobile Registration
    • Automobile or Health Insurance Card
    • Current Credit Card Statement
    • Current Bank Account Statement
    • Current Paystub
    • Voter Registration Card
    • Private Mail (within last month)
    • Official Mail (within last month)
    • U.S. Postal Service Confirmation of Address Change Request
    • Last Three Months of Rent Payments

  2. Book an appointment with Student Enrollment for a VOR. Limited daily walk-ins are also available.

If the calendar date is not in bold, all appointments are fully booked or unavailable for that date. Check back later as new appointments are released about every 20 min throughout the workday or please select an alternate date if one is available within the next three weeks.
