Orange County Public Schools believes that a healthy staff can more effectively perform their assigned duties and model appropriate wellness behaviors to students. The OCPS Employee Wellness Program (EWP) is designed to reach all employees at various levels of interest and need. Since we are self-insured, we strongly support wellness activities that encourage our employees to play an active role in their own health status. We offer preventive and disease management activities in two parallel tracks of complementary services (clinical/non-clinical). Both tracks offer a full continuum of prevention, early detection and health maintenance components.

The EWP offers support in a variety of disease states including asthma, diabetes and heart disease, along with programs in smoking cessation, well-pregnancy, weight loss and special screenings.

Group-focused prevention activities and education are offered through trained, school-based wellness representatives. Wellness representatives also act as communication liaisons, keeping their population informed of available services and programs.

The OCPS Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is a free, confidential and professional service available to all employees. The EAP includes assistance with a variety of issues including emotional, psychological, family, alcohol and drug problems.

2026 Flu Shot Schedule

  • OCPS Cigna members can get a FREE flu shot at one of our on-site clinics. Click the link above to find a location near you.

Important note
OCPS Cigna members can use their Cigna ID card to receive a flu shot for FREE at other participating locations, including:

  • PeopleOne Health centers: Oct. 1 – Nov. 20, members AND nonmembers* (age 7+) covered under an OCPS Cigna plan can call 937.552.5270 to schedule an appointment at a PeopleOne health center to get a free flu shot.
  • A primary care physician’s office: No charge if you’re only receiving the flu shot.
  • A convenient care clinic (e.g., Minute Clinic inside of select CVS stores*).
  • A participating pharmacy (e.g., Costco, Publix, Sam’s Club, Walgreens*, Walmart, Winn-Dixie), using your Cigna medical plan only. If you choose to go to a participating pharmacy, please save a copy of the Cigna Healthcare retail pharmacy medical vaccine network flyer and bring it with you. This includes information that your pharmacy needs to file your flu shot claim through your Cigna medical plan.

*Reminders:

  • OCPS Cigna members, not enrolled in a PeopleOne Health center are eligible to receive a flu shot by appointment only between Oct. 1 and Nov. 20. Only those enrolled in PeopleOne Health can receive the full service of care offered at the centers. For more information on PeopleOne Health or to enroll, visit PeopleOne Health OCPS.
  • OCPS Cigna members can use their Cigna medical ID card at a Minute Clinic inside select CVS stores; however, they CANNOT use their Cigna medical ID card at a CVS retail pharmacy for an immunization. CVS retail pharmacies are excluded from Cigna’s retail pharmacy medical vaccine network. CVS can be used for filling prescriptions, they are included in the participating pharmacy providers through CVS Caremark.
  • OCPS Cigna members can use their Cigna medical ID card at a Walgreens retail pharmacy; however, they CANNOT be used for filling prescriptions. Walgreens is excluded from our participating pharmacy providers though CVS Caremark.

  • Application for Adoption Benefit
    The language in section 409.1664, Florida Statutes, authorizes monetary benefits to certain employees who adopt a child from the Florida child welfare system. This is the application for the benefits.
