Today, the Orange County School Board met for a scheduled rule development workshop at the Ronald Blocker Educational Leadership Center to discuss J policies and KBBA and to allow for public comment on the proposed revisions. No members of the public provided input.
JCA - Assignment of Students to School
JFBD - Magnet School Programs
JICI - Firearms, Weapons, and Destructive Devices (New Policy)
JICK - Threats
JLF - Reporting Child Abuse and Child Protection
JLIE - Student Automobile Use
JJ - Extracurricular Activities
KBBA - Parental Rights and Responsibilities (Changing policy name to Custody Rights and Responsibilities)

The next public hearing on the proposed revisions will be at the regular School Board meeting on June 14, 2022, after which the Board will vote. The approved revisions will take effect upon Board approval.
