At today’s School Board work session, the Orange County School Board reviewed policies related to instructional and library materials.
Proposed changes to the policies being revised include language from recently enacted laws and the clarification of the process by which a parent or a resident of the county can object to the Board’s adoption of instructional materials and/or request reconsideration of library materials already in use.
Revisions to the existing policy language include content, formatting, and terminology edits consistent with statutory language.
