At today’s School Board work session, the Orange County School Board reviewed J Policies and KBBA.
Members of the school board received a detailed presentation from the Offices of Legal Services, Student Enrollment, School Choice, Student Discipline and the District Threat Assessment Team. The changes include content, formatting and terminology edits and statutory updates to the following policies:
JCA – Assignment of Students to School
JFBD – Magnet School Programs
JICI – Weapons in School (New Policy)
JICK – Threats
JLF – Reporting Child Abuse - Child Protection
JLIE – Student Automobile Use
JJ – Extracurricular Activities
KBBA – Parental Rights and Responsibilities
Next steps – tentative schedule

June 14 – Board Approval
