Orange County Public Schools is grateful for the positive impact our 14,000 teachers play in the lives of our 206,000 students every single day! Educators change the lives of children and play a significant role in shaping students for the future. They give them purpose, set them up for success, and inspire them to do well and persevere. This week we are celebrating our amazing teachers and our students are giving back!

Nearly 6,000 Thank You letters were written by graduating seniors from our 20 high schools to teachers across the district as part of the annual “Project Impact: Teachers Change Lives.”Every year, there are tears of joy and pride as teachers hear the touching letter written just for them by a former student. Watch as Superintendent Barbara Jenkins, Board Member Linda Kobert, and Freedom High School graduating senior AnnaLisa Hutchinson surprise West Creek Elementary School teacher Emily Dyshuk in celebration of Teacher Appreciation Week.
