Orange County School Board held a rule development workshop to review proposed changes to the following policies:
GCQF – Suspension and Dismissal of Professional Staff
GDQD – Suspension and Dismissal of Support Staff
IA – Student Progression Plan 2021-2022
IHAM – Local School Wellness
Members of the school board received a detailed presentation from the Offices of Legal Services, Human Resources and Student Services.
View the presentation provided to board members at the workshop for details. The changes are intended to ensure compliance with all applicable federal and state laws, Florida State Board of Education Rules, Board policies, administrative rules, and guidelines.
Next steps: Members of the board will meet on December 14, 2021 to discuss the changes and receive public input prior to taking a vote. If approved, the new policies will be effective immediately.
