The School Board of Orange County held its regularly-scheduled board meeting at 5:01 p.m. at the Ronald Blocker Educational Leadership Center. These are the highlights of the meeting:

Millage adopted to support 2021-2022 budget

After a public hearing, the school board adopted the millage required to support the budget for school year 2021-2022. The millage rate adopted is as follows:

School Board approves budget for 2021-2022

The budget approved by the school board is as follows:

1. General Fund $2,319,737,091
 2. Special Revenue Fund  $227,752,511
 3.  Debt Service Fund $229,304,411
 4. Capital Projects Fund $1,412,313,656
 5. Internal Service Fund $343,346,144

Changes regarding administrative personnel

Superintendent Barbara Jenkins introduced the following new administrator:

 Michael Byrne II, assistant principal, Eagle Creek Elementary

Maria DiMura, assistant principal, Legacy Middle

Laquel Glenn, assistant principal, Meadow Woods Elementary

Sarah Ann Harper, assistant principal, Westridge Middle

Christopher Smart, assistant principal, Meadowbrook Middle

Latoya Thinn, assistant principal, Liberty Middle

Tammye Young, assistant principal, Wyndham Lakes Elementary

Katie Mae Hyser, assistant principal, Corner Lake Middle
