At tonight’s work session, Orange County School Board members reviewed changes to a number of school board policies. The purpose of these revisions is to assure compliance with all applicable federal and state laws, Florida State Board of Education Rules, Board Policies, administrative rules, procedures and guidelines. The board also periodically reviews policies to promote transparency and accountability in the expenditure of public funds and the use of public resources.
Revisions included in the presentation are:
Policy GCAB - Critical Teacher Shortages
Policy IKFB - Graduation Exercises
Policy JICK - Threats
All proposed changes will move to a public hearing and formal vote during the regularly scheduled school board meeting on April 14, 2020.
