Retiree Insurance Benefits Handbook

2019-20 Plan Year Effective Oct.1, 2019 - Sept. 30, 2020

While we have not completed negotiations on the Classroom Teachers Association (CTA) contract, it is important that we hold an annual insurance enrollment in order to maintain our self-funded, Section 125 Plan.  This enrollment will be based on the current (2018-19) insurance plans.  Changes to the costs or benefits of the medical plans during the plan year, as a result of negotiations and ratification, will permit members to make a secondary election change to medical plans only.  If there is a need for a secondary election change, retirees will be notified.  Please note there are some changes to the 2019-20 plans that are not tied to ratification and will be implemented Oct. 1, 2019.
