Evaluation

The in-person culinary practical will be scheduled by the FNS Training Team. During these 5 hours students are demonstrating various culinary skills, and are scored on these skills by the Chef.

Skills such as measuring ingredients, cutting a pineapple, mincing garlic cloves, dicing an onion, roasting potatoes, and preparing a dish following a recipe are just a few of the skills students are scored on. At the conclusion of the testing, the Chef meets with each student individually to go over scoring, and students who passed the in-person practical skills testing are given a certificate.
