Grants and Special Projects

The role of Grants and Special Projects is to work with Orange County Public Schools' (OCPS) administrators, instructional and technical personnel to generate and maintain external funding for special initiatives in support of increased academic achievement for all students. The staff works with teachers and administrators to prepare competitive and entitlement grant applications. When grants are funded, managers monitor program compliance with funder guidelines and district, state and federal requirements. In 2016-17 Grants and Special Projects monitored 194 projects for compliance totaling more than $191 million.
