Orange County Public Schools and the Florida Department of Health in Orange County announced to parents and staff of Eccleston Elementary that they will shift face-to-face students to LaunchED@Home starting Wednesday, Oct. 28. This decision is out of an abundance of caution after four positive COVID-19 cases resulted in 50 students and staff being required to quarantine. While some quarantines will extend beyond Tuesday, Nov. 3, the majority of face-to-face students and staff will be able to resume face-to-face instruction Tuesday, Nov. 3.
Eccleston has 225 students enrolled in face-to-face instruction with another 200 students attending through LaunchED@Home. During the time between Oct. 28 and Nov. 3, the entire campus will be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected as the health and safety of everyone is a top priority.
