Accountability and Improvement
Accountability & Improvement (A&I) leads the analysis and interpretation of data for accountability, accreditation, school improvement and strategic planning processes to attain the district's vision, mission and goals.

Accountability centers around the Florida school grading model. Student achievement and learning gains on statewide tests, acceleration success and graduation rates are all components of this calculation.

The department provides guidance to School Advisory Councils (SAC) by conveying state and district expectations, providing resources and supporting the continuous improvement efforts of the school. According to section 1001.452 of the Florida Statutes (2016), each school must establish an advisory council to assist in the preparation and evaluation of the school improvement plan, as well as with the preparation of the school’s annual budget and plan.
