To be eligible to participate in Orange County Public Schools' Voluntary Pre-K program your child must be 4 years of age by September 1 of the school year in which he or she would enroll, and you must reside in Orange County.

VPK Registration

Schools will begin accepting Certificates from families with children currently enrolled at their school the week of March 4-8, 2019.  If class capacity is reached by the end of this week, schools will accept Certificates to be placed on the wait list.

Schools will begin welcoming parents the week of March 11-15, 2019 for VPK enrollment.

Parents must pre-register online to receive their issued VPK Certificate of Eligibility via email at

Students will receive priority at their zoned school.  If there are spaces available after all zoned children have been accepted, then students will be selected on a first-come, first-serve basis.

You are required to bring your VPK Eligibility and Enrollment Certificate and an OCPS-accepted proof of residency (such as a deed, current lease, or tax exemption card). 

Please Note: The maximum enrollment is 20 students per class as required by the State. If a school has reached the maximum enrollment, then request to be placed on their waiting list.

In order for a child to attend a full-day Title I/VPK program, they must reside in either the school's attendance zone or another Title I school attendance zone.

Summer VPK Program

300 Instructional Hours

Summer VPK is an option for any child that turned four years of age by September 1 of the current school year and did not previously participate in the school year VPK program.
