Hunters Creek ES, Chickasaw ES and LakeView MS hosted more than 75 teachers  and administrators from across the nation to learn about the district’s two-way dual language programs. The three schools shared instructional best practices in dual language education.

The visitors were attendees of The National Association of Bilingual Education Conference, March 6-9. Over 2,000 teachers, administrators, college professors and community members came to learn best practices in teaching bilingual and biliteracy skills.

The multilingual and corrective programs department were excited to present 11 sessions.

Additionally, OCPS board member Johanna Lopez (District 2) received the NABE 2019 Leadership Award. A community member nominated her for this recognition.
