Orange County Public Schools, in consultation with the Florida Department of Health in Orange County, informed parents at Avalon Elementary School that all kindergarten, 2nd grade, and 4th grade students will be pivoting to [email protected] due to four confirmed COVID-19 cases which resulted in 38 quarantines in the school. Those grade levels will begin [email protected] instruction Wednesday, Oct. 14 through Friday, Oct. 23 and will return to campus on Monday, Oct. 26.

Students will follow their regular schedule throughout the day. During this time, kindergarten, 2nd and 4th grade students and staff will not be participating in any school events or activities.

All individuals and parents of children who are under quarantine orders have been notified. Please know that information related to any individual’s medical history is confidential and protected by law. During this time the entire campus will be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected.

If any students are in need, curbside meals can be picked up at school Monday, Oct. 18, and brought home. Everyone's health and safety is our top priority
