Great Beginnings 2020 Banner Great Beginnings is the welcome to and introduction of Orange County Public Schools’ way of work to beginning teachers. Research shows that “new teachers who participate in a comprehensive induction program stay in the profession longer and have greater success in terms of job satisfaction and student achievement” (Harris, 2015). The focus for our beginning teacher professional development aligns with the Florida Educator Accomplished Practices.
